Government revenue and spending nexus in regional Indonesia: Causality approach

This study aims to test the hypothesis that explains relationship between tax revenue and government spending in six Indonesian regions. Furthermore, units of analysis were districts cities each region from 2006 2017, a Granger panel causality approach was used. The results showed five experienced bidirectional causalities revenues local out regions, namely Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali & Nusa Tenggara. Also, there fiscal synchronisation while tax-spend applies Papua Maluku Therefore, governments these regions need be careful deciding actions related increasing revenue. can achieved through sector's optimisation expenditure increment by encouraging public administration.
